Melomakarona is for Christmas. It’s a perfect sweet for the holidays, along with Kourambiedes and Diples.
I guess these names may sound a bit Greek to you, but I cannot translate them…
You will find all these recipes properly presented on the blog when time comes, but for now, I had this idea, to bake Melomakarona during summer, as cookies, using the Easy Bake dough and share a few pictures here.
Half of the recipe, skipping the syrup part and the nuts, gives you crunchy cookies, with great smell and taste.
I added some blue/summery icing in an effort not to seem so crazy and the cookies turned out just fine. My husband was looking at me speechless for a few minutes of course, but he overcame all that while grabbing a few of them from the pan.
