Dakos Salad, is by far my favorite salad. I can eat it every day and there are periods that I actually do so. The best time of the year of course is during summer when tomatoes are at their best, but that is not a good reason for me to stop enjoying that amazingly simple dish. You can find lots of recipes online, with great ingredient combinations, but today I give you my simple and very quick to make, personal version and preference.
You Will Need :
1 large burley rusk (round shaped)
2 chopped tomatoes
salt || oregano || olive oil
basil -for decoration
* Water the rusk just so to make it a bit softer and place it on a plate. Add the chopped tomatoes on top and make sure that the tomato juice will fall on the rusk, (this will make the rusk even softer and tastier). Add the feta cheese, the olives, the onion, the salt, the oregano and lots of olive oil on top. Decorate with some basil and enjoy!!
