Continue reading “Summer Thoughts.”
This May, “The Salty Biscotti Blog” has it`s birthday. It has been two years since I created my first post here friends. So many things have happened since then, so many great things!!
I was a mom of one little boy, today I am a mom two, my George and my Thanos. My two little “Biscottis”!! I was so much into baking and cooking for my family and friends, today it is the most natural thing to me to bake twice a day for them. I was so passionate about food photography, today I am IN LOVE with it.Continue reading “Homemade Banana Bread With Chocolate Chips – “SB” Celebrations.”
I read all about it, search everywhere for information, try to spot the perfect shine all over my house. As if I have just moved in.
I was always curious about light and how it transforms everything. Even when in absence. Now, that situations force us to stay inside to be safe, now that I am constantly at home for 3 whole weeks, now, I feel like I am learning my house all over again. So, I look at it, as if it is new to me. I observe it`s corners and how the sun reflects on the objects, upon the curtains, how it comes in through windows, how rooms change as hours passing by.
I hope I express myself correctly, it feels like magic. Especially in the early hours. Perhaps I am being a little more romantic these days. After all, I am constantly surrounded by my photography and baking books. Still, I need to stay creative. I miss it. I miss my routine. I miss “my freedom”.
I am full of thoughts.
Full of light thoughts.
Back to non festive food, decorations, songs friends. Every year, after Christmas holidays, I usually wish that I could hold on that spirit a little longer, so, some cinnamon cookies, may help on that mission.
Have a great weekend.
This photoshoot was by far my favorite this Christmas. I had never tried oreo kourabiedes (Greek Christmas cookies covered with white or cocoa topping) before and Terkenlis, a top bakery and patisserie store in Greece, made my day. This treat is definitely on my baking list of 2020.
What an amazing year!! I am thankful for so many things!! It was a difficult year but so full of changes and new beginnings… Welcoming our new baby boy into our little family was by far THE moment to remember for ever. Thank you all so much for all your kind words and support to my photography work, here and on Instagram. I have only gain positive vibes from this amazing community.
I hope you all welcome this new year with joy and positive energy, enjoy yourselves and your families and chase whatever makes your heart happy.
Happy New Year, see you in 2020. 🙂
For the Christening of my little baby Thanos I wanted something special. My favorite time of the year is the Christmas holiday season, so, the decision was easy. We were going to have a Christmas – themed, Christening day.
Wooden carousel toys and butter bisquits at star shape, decorated with the initial of our little one`s name, were the main guest treats at the tables. The bisquits were baked by my dear friend Vasiliki who is an expert on Christening events and the original recipe is from the Christmas recipe collection of Stelios Parliaros.
The “A” of our hearts. Have a lovely day friends. 🙂
